Sosie Bacon

 Kevin Bacon, a director of Loverboy chose to feature his daughter Sosie in Loverboy. Kevin was asked about his choice. He stated that he made the decision as a director , not as a father since the daughter he chose to cast was the best choice for the job. She did get it out of her system. She said, "Oh, that was fantastic. Now I'm off to college." Sosie was the main role of Emily in flashbacks. Kyra Sedgwick, Sosie's mother was Emily as an adult Emily. Sosie performed an acappella version of "Life on Mars" by David Bowie as Emily. The New York Times reviewed the film as "grotesquely funny". Travis Bacon, her brother was featured in an insignificant role in the movie. Kevin was gracious enough to praise Sosie's performance in Loverboy but she shouldn't be encouraged to keep acting. According to Sedgwick who plays the role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, Duff would have liked to see her in the cast of the show from when she was 12 years old. Sedgwick was against the idea and demanded that Sosie not be involved in the acting. Duff says he finally was able to convince her parents to let her take on a small part in the show, as long as it did not interfere with her studies. Duff described the arrangement more like an "treaty negotiations" rather than an agreement.
