Olivia Wilde

 Wilde was born Olivia Jane Cockburn on March 10, 1984, in New York City. Growing up in Washington, D.C., she spent the summer in Ardmore, Ireland. In 2002, she graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts as well as Georgetown Day School in Washington, D.C. The surname Wilde is a in honor of Oscar Wilde, an Irish writer from Ireland. The first time she used the name at the age of 14 to honor her family members with pen names. After graduation from Bard College, she pursued acting at the Gaiety School of Acting. Her family owned the Guilford home for a short period of time. Andrew Cockburn (citation needed) is the father of Wilde. He was born in London and was raised in Ireland. Leslie Cockburn (nee Redlich) her mother is a famous American journalist as well as producer of 60 Minutes. Her children include a younger sister as well as an older younger brother, who is 9 years old. Her father, Claud Cockburn (a British novelist) and his sons Alexander Patrick, Cockburn, and Alexander were journalist. Sarah Caudwell was also an author. Christopher Hitchens, a writer was Cockburn's tenant in Washington, D.C. He was also Wilde's babysitter.
