Alicia Vikander

 Alicia Amanda Vikander (/vI'kaend@r/, Swedish: [a'li:sIa vI'kan:der[a'li:sIa vI'kan:der] (listen); born 3 October 1988) is a Swedish actress. She has been awarded numerous awards, including an Academy Award, in addition to nominations for two Golden Globe Awards and three British Academy Film Awards. Born and raised in Gothenburg, Vikander began acting as a kid in minor stage productions in the Gothenburg opera house. She also began her ballet training at the Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm. Her acting career started in short films and television series in Sweden. Her first recognition came for her performance on the drama series Andra Avenyn (2008)-2010. Pure (2010) was her first feature film. She was awarded the Guldbagge Award as Best Actress. Kitty Joe Wright's film adaptation of Anna Karenina, and Queen Caroline Mathilde's Danish film A Royal Affair brought her greater attention. Vikander received worldwide recognition for her role in the film as Vera Brittain in Testament of Youth (2014), the humanoid robot in Ex Machina (2014), for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl (2015) and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Forbes listed Vikander on their 30 Under 30 List in 2016. She starred as Lara Croft, an adventure film about Tomb Raider (2018) and the fantasy film The Green Knight (2021).
