Alicia Malone

Alicia Maree Malone is a Film Reporter, TV Host, Editor, Producer, Writer and all-around film enthusiast. She developed her taste for film early as she spent many a blissful Friday night pajama-clad at the video store, choosing her seven films over the course of seven days for $7. Bargain! At school, she started a Film Club, electing herself President. The school principal eventually asked her not to get up during the assembly to talk about movies anymore. Alicia left high school to travel to Sydney to find a job in the video shop. There, she helped customers pick the right film regardless of whether or not they had asked. Then, she was offered a position at the TV station Channel Seven, where she worked for six years, in various production roles. After responding to an advertisement for a job at cable station Movie Network Channels, Alicia began her career as a host as well as editor, producer and host. She was the host of red carpet events for the Tropfest Short Film Festival and AFI Awards, as well as presenting and directing various shows that were based on movies, such as Movie Juice and Premiere. Alicia was also a weekly guest on The Morning Show, where she was a movie expert. She also appeared on Triple M talking about movies and her movie review was published by Filmink Magazine. Alicia took her belongings and moved to Hollywood in the latter part of 2010. Since living in Los Angeles Alicia has worked regularly as a freelance film journalist and critic. Her work has been seen on American television channels such as E!, MTV, Fandango, CNBC, Hollywood Today Live, Access Hollywood, The Daily Share on HLN, The Daily Share, AMC Movie Talk, AMCi Indie Spotlight, IGN, NBC News, Reelz, EPIX, Celebuzz, Hello Giggles The Schmoes Know Show. And the Australian version of Foxtel Movie Show, Today Show, Movie Juice, Studio 10, Movie Network Channels, Event Cinemas, Picture This on Go!, Scoopla, Filmink Magazine,
