Agneta Ase Faltskog (born 5 April 1950) is also is also known as Agnetha Faltskog (Swedish pronunciation: [aNG'ne's:ta'feltsku'(listen)) (listen)) is a Swedish artist, singer and musician. Her 1968 self-titled debut album was her first hit. She went on to become famous internationally for her part in the group ABBA. They have sold more than the sum of 380 million [dubious - talk] albums and singles worldwide and is among the most successful music groups in history. The singer is the youngest of ABBA and the only one to be born in the 1950s. Faltskog was informally exiled from ABBA in December 1982, found new success as a solo performer in the late in the decade, releasing three albums and a leading part in a film. She was withdrawn during the 1990s, staying clear of public attention and living on Ekero, the Stockholm County island of Ekero. Faltskog was not recording music for 16 years, until she released a new album, My Colouring Book, in 2004. In 2013, she returned with A, which was the highest-charting solo album she had released in the UK. ABBA is now a reformed group, and Faltskog has resumed her previous job as a member of the group.
