Agneta Ase Faltskog, born on April 5, 1950, is also known as Agnetha (Swedish pronunciation, [aNG'ne ‘feltsku?g[aNG'ne:ta ‘feltsku?g] (listen),) and is a Swedish singer-songwriter, musician and songwriter. Her self-titled debut album in 1968 was her first major success. She later became an international superstar when she joined the group ABBA. It's among the most successful musical groups ever, selling more than the 380 million albums and singles worldwide. The singer is the youngest and sole child of ABBA. Faltskog, who was not officially expelled from ABBA in December 1982, rediscovered success as a solo artist in later decades of the decade with three albums and a lead role in a movie. She remained secluded during the 1990s, staying clear of public attention and living in Ekero, the Stockholm County island of Ekero. Faltskog stopped making music for 16 years before she released a new album, My Colouring Book, in 2004. The singer returned in 2013 with A, her highest UK charting solo album to date. ABBA since has reformed, and Faltskog has returned to her former role as a member of the group.
