Tulsi Gabbard

 Tulsi Gabbard was born on the 12th of April in 1981. She is an American politician and United States Army Reserve officer. Gabbard was also the first Hindu member of Congress and also the first Samoan American to vote in Congress. She was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the 2020 United States presidential election,before leaving the party and becoming an independent candidate in the month of October 2022.In 2002, Gabbard was elected to the Hawaii House of Representatives at 21 years old. Gabbard served in a field medical unit of the Hawaii Army National Guard while deployed to Iraq between 2004 and 2005. She was stationed in Kuwait from 2008 until 2009 as an Army Military Police platoon leader.While a member of Congress she was a vice chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) from 2013 to 2016, and then resigned to support Bernie Sanders' campaign for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.
