Simu Liu

 Liu was born in Harbin (China) on 19 April 1989. Liu is the son of Zhenning Liu and Zheng Liu. The parents of Zheng and Zhenning were able to get into Beijing University, despite considerable opposition to pursue engineering. His father Zhenning was admitted to America to pursue his PhD and his mother was employed at Beijing. Liu was raised in Harbin by his grandparents up to the age of five. He described his childhood as pleasant and peaceful. He attended the University of Toronto Schools and later attended the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario. He was awarded an honors degree in the year the year 2011.
