Bella Poarch was born on February 9, 1997 in the Philippines to Filipino parents. Her mother was a slum dweller and raised her until she reached the age of three years old. She later adopted her. Her adoptive father is an American soldier, who served in the US Military and is also her mother who adopted her. Both adoptive parents were in Saudi Arabia where the father of her adopted daughter was stationed. They eventually settled in the Philippines. She shared her story in an interview in which she described how she as well as her brother, adopted by her brother, were abused throughout their early years. This continued to happen until she enrolled in the military. She lived on a farm along with her family members: two older (adopted) sisters, her adoptive parents, and her brother. She had many of the duties on the farm, and was when she was just seven years old. young. She recounts that her adoptive sisters were not given the same kind of treatment as her. Poarch says her father verbally, and physically abusive to her. Her mother did not get involved. The family (except her two older sisters who still reside in the Philippines) relocated to San Francisco to live with her aunt for a few months prior to the family relocated to Texas after she was forced to move due to her father's need for bypass surgery. While the abuse has diminished but she still claims that her father still abused her mentally.
