Peaches (musician)

 Merrill Nisker (born 11 November 1966) more popularly known as her stage name Peaches is a Canadian electroclash musician as well as producer.Born in Ontario, Peaches began her musical career in the 1990s in a folk group called Mermaid Cafe. She founded the rock band Shit in 1995. The Shit also released Fancypants Hoodlum, her first solo album of the year. After moving to Berlin, Germany, she was signed to the label Kitty-Yo and then released her sophomore album The Teaches of Peaches (2000). She was the opening act for Queens of the Stone Age and Marilyn Manson, and she released her second album, The Teaches Of Peaches (2000). Peaches' music has been featured on TV shows like Lost Girl, The L Word and South Park. She has been featured on Skam, The Handmaid's Tale and 30 Rock. Peaches has also been a guest singer on many songs such as "Oh My God" which is from the album Pink Try This. "We Don't Play Guitars," from Chicks on Speed's album 99 Cents. "My Girls," from Christina Aguilera's album from 2010 Bionic that was written and composed by Le Tigre and co-written with him. "Scare Me", from Major Lazer's 2013 album Free the Universe, also featuring Timberlee.
