 Zuckerberg was a Harvard University student, where the founder of Facebook was Facebook in the month of February 2004, along with his roommates Eduardo Saverin and Dustin Moskovitz. The site was initially launched for selected colleges, the site expanded rapidly and eventually surpassed colleges and reached one billion users in 2012. Zuckerberg took the company public in May 2012 and possessed the majority stakes. In 2007, aged 23 he became the world's youngest self-made billionaire. He has used his funds to support philanthropic projects of various kinds which include the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.Since 2008, Time magazine has named Zuckerberg as one of the top 100 influential people around the globe as part of its Person of the Year award, which he was recognized in 2010. Zuckerberg was ranked as tenth on the Forbes list of the World's Most Powerful People in December 2016. He ranked 11th on the Forbes 400 list, with the sum of $57.7billion. It's a decrease from his rank as the third richest American in 2021, with an estimated net worth of $134.5billion. At the end of December 2022, Zuckerberg's net worth was $42.4 billion, according to Forbes Real Time Billionaires making the 26th most wealthy person on the planet. A documentary about his career, The Social Network, was released in the year 2010.
