Lamar Odom

 Lamar Joseph Odom, born on the 6th of November 1979 was an American professional basketball player who played professionally for a time. As a player of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA) He won the championship in 2010 and 2009, and was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2011.In high school, Odom received national player of the year accolades at the Parade in 1997. He played college basketball at the University of Rhode Island, receiving all-conference accolades in his one season with the Atlantic 10 Conference before turning professional. Odom was the fourth overall selection of the 1999 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. Odom was named for the NBA All-Rookie Team the next year. However, it was during his four seasons playing for the Clippers that Odom was removed twice for violating the league’s anti-drug policy. As a restricted free agent, Odom signed with the Miami Heat, where he played in the 2003-04 season prior to being traded to the Lakers. Odom spent seven seasons with the Lakers before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. His career was ruined following the trade. In 2012 Odom was traded to the Clippers and played for a brief time in Spain in 2014. Odom also played for the United States national team. He took home a bronze medal at the Olympics.
