Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nürnbergomedov was born on the 20th of September, 1988. He was a former professional mixed martial artist from Russia. He was a lightweight competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and held the title for the longest duration, from April 2018 through March 2021. With 29 wins and no loss, he retired with a record of undefeated. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial performers of the past. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in June 20th, 2022. Nurmagomedov was ranked first among the UFC men's pound-for pound rankings at the time of his retirement, until being removed during his title break in March 2021 Fight Matrix ranks him as the #1 lightweight ever. Originating from the Republic of Dagestan in Russia, Nurmagomedov is the first Muslim to take home a UFC title. He is the most followed Russian on Instagram with over 34 million followers as of December 2022.He is also a mixed martial arts (MMA) promoter, well-known for his promotion of the Eagle Fighting Championship (EFC). He has become an instructor and cornerman in mixed martial arts since his retirement.
