Alicia Roanne Witt was born on August 21 on the 21st of August, 1975. She is an American actor and singer. Her first fame came as a child performer after being noticed by David Lynch, who cast her in Dune (1984) and Twin Peaks (1990). Witt had a critically acclaimed performance as a troubled teenage girl in Fun (1994), was a student of music in Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) and also as an enraged college student in the film Urban Legend (1998). She appeared in Cameron Crowe's Vanilla Sky (2001), Two Weeks Notice (2002), Last Holiday (2006) and the thriller 88 Minutes (2007). Witt has been on TV on The Walking Dead, The Sopranos, Nashville, Two and a Half Men, The Librarians, Friday Night Lights, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Mentalist, Cybill, Justified, Twin Peaks: The Return, CSI: Miami, and Orange Is the New Black. . In her most recent film, 2020's Christmas Tree Lane, she was executive producer as well as story writer. She also contributed two original songs that her character sings in the film.
