Coppola began her career as a hostess for the MTV game show Remote Control. She was cast in the role of Lorna Devon on the soap drama Another World in 1991. She is the long-lost child of Felicia Gallant. The role was played by her from 1991 until 1994. Her more well-known TV roles include a recurring role in the show Trinity (1998-99) and leading roles on the American remake of the British comedy Cold Feet (1999), and top billing on the TNT drama Bull (2000). In the 1999 episode, she played Leesa. She also played Lieutenant. Stadi on Star Trek: Voyager. A widow who marries her husband's murderer on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and several times appeared as Lieutenant Commander Faith Coleman, JAG lawyer as well as on NCIS as well as JAG. (She was also played a character on NCIS: Los Angeles). In 2003, she starred alongside Gary Oldman and Ving Rhames in the movie Sin and also played the role of a Hollywood rehab character by the name of Toni Stark on Dawson's Creek. In the 2004 episode, she played a public relations manager for the power company. Coppola was also seen in the role of an actress who was a serial killer and agreed to help catch her clone in the 2005 episode of Crossing Jordan titled "Road Kill". Coppola was a regular character on NBC's American Dreams, playing the character of Nancy. In the episode "Woo Hoo, a Hernia Exam!" on Two and a Half Men, she played the role of Dr. Michelle Talmadge.
