Timothy Richard Tebow, /'ti.boUwas born on August 14 in 1987. He is an American footballer and an unrestricted free agent. Tebow was a quarterback for three seasons prior to his time of the National Football League (NFL) and was most notable for the Denver Broncos. Tebow was a football college player from Florida. He was awarded the Heisman Trophy as the first underclassman, and led his team to two BCS National Championship wins in 2007 and 2009. Tebow was selected by the Broncos in the first round of their selection during the 2010 NFL Draft. He became their quarterback of choice during the 2011 season. His time as a starter led to a team struggling to achieve their first division championship and also a playoff win in 2005. But questions regarding Tebow's future plans resulted in him being traded to the New York Jets the next offseason. Tebow was a year as an inactive player. Tebow played in minor league baseball with the New York Mets from 2016 until 2021, after failing to make the final rosters for the New England Patriots or Philadelphia Eagles. Tebow was also exiled from the NFL after playing in only one game in the preseason.
