Spencer Rattler

 Rattler was a student at Pinnacle High School, Phoenix, Arizona for his four years in high school. At the age of 18, Rattler broke the Arizona school's record for the highest number of passes. Rattler threw for 11,083 yards over his four years with more than 116 touchdowns passing. He also rushed for 1,040 yards with 14 rushing touchdowns. In the middle of his senior season, he was named MVP of the Elite 11 at The Opening in Texas.In his final season at Pinnacle, Rattler starred in Peter Berg's Netflix documentary on sports named QB1: Beyond the Lights. Rattler was then suspended for breaking a district code of conduct and was not able to play for the remainder of the season due to cheating.He initially claimed he suffered from a sprained MCL, but the school administration advised him not to speak of the nature of the code of conduct violation.By the close of his sophomore year in high school, he had received 14 offers from NCAA Division I schools such as Alabama, Notre Dame, and Miami. On June 19, 2017, he visited Oklahoma in an unofficial trip and committed to Oklahoma within a week. He signed his letter of intent on December 19, 2018 to play for Lincoln Riley and the Sooners. He was considered a 5 star quarterback by 247Sports and Rivals.com,[8] and a 4 star by ESPN. Rattler was also the top quarterback in the polls for the 2019 recruiting class.
