Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Urdu, Punjabi: myN.mHmd.nwz shryf was born on 25 December 1949. He is a Pakistani politician and businessman who held three terms as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. His term spans more than nine years, and he is currently the longest-serving PM of Pakistan. Each of his terms ended with his removal. He was born to the Sharif family from Lahore. Nawaz Sharif is his older brother. He was also the premier of Pakistan in 2022. The Election Commission of Pakistan estimates that Nawaz has an estimated net worth of the sum of Rs. 1.75 billion (which amounts to about Rs. 8.9 billion, or $39 million in 2021). The wealth of Nawaz is mainly derived from his steel construction. The president Zia was appointed Nawaz as minister of finances within the Punjab province in the year 1981. Nawaz was backed by a coalition of conservatives who were loose, was elected the Chief Minister of Punjab in 1985. He was elected again in 1988 following the end of martial law. Nawaz is an orthodox Islamic Democratic Alliance leader, was elected as the 12th Prime Minister of Pakistan in the year 1990.
