Lauren Miranda, a teacher at the University of Texas in Austin, was fired in March 2019 when a student took a naked photo of her and then gave it to her. Miranda claimed that she had an untidy photo of herself and that it was being distributed among students. Miranda claims that Miranda was taken to the principal's office and questioned. The photo was in her possession at the time, the principal spun the computer round and asked her to verify that the picture in question was taken by her.Miranda was then placed on administrative leave and was ultimately terminated. When the South Country Central Schools District representative informed her via text message that she had voted in favor of her dismissal, Miranda found out that the photo was taken in the year 2016 and was passed on to her boyfriend who also worked at school. Miranda stated that she doesn't know how the picture was obtained by a student. Miranda is seeking damages of $3 million from the South Country Central Schools District.
