50 Cent

 Curtis James Jackson III, born on July 6 1975, is an American actor businessman, rapper, and actor. Born in the South Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, Jackson began pursuing a music career in 2000 when he released Power of the Dollar for Columbia Records; however, several days prior to the scheduled release date, he was shot and the album was not released. In 2002, when 50 Cent dropped the mixtape Guess Who's Back? Eminem came across his talent and signed him to Shady Records. His first major label album, Get Rich or Die Trying (2003) was a commercial smash. The Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "In da Club", "21 Questions" and "In da Club" were the result of the album. It was also certified platinum 9x by the Recording Industry Association of America. In the same year, he also founded G-Unit Records, signing his G-Unit associates Young Buck, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo; prior to becoming the official leader of the East Coast hip hop group G-Unit. 50 Cent also enjoyed the same kind of critical and commercial success when he released his second album, The Massacre (2005), that included the hit single "Candy Shop". He underwent musical changes by the fifth album, Animal Ambition (2014) and is making the sixth album of his studio. He was executive producer and star in the TV series Power (2014-2020) and is slated to produce spin-offs of the show.
