 Lotz has completed her acting education at Sanford Meisner over two years. 9 Lotz began her acting career in the year 2006 with a minor role in the film for cheerleaders Bring It On: All or Nothing. In 2010, she was a guest star in Law and Order the third episode of LA. She also starred in the season's fourth as Stephanie Draper's niece. Lotz played the part of the officer Kirsten Landry in MTV's slasher, black comedy mockumentary Death Valley. Lotz performed all her own stunts on the show.In 2012, Lotz had roles in Live at the Foxes Den, Battle of the Year alongside Josh Holloway[10] and alongside Casper Van Dien and Agnes Bruckner in the supernatural thriller The Pact,[11] which debuted at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival[12] and has been picked up for distribution.Starting with the second season of The CW's superhero TV series Arrow, Lotz appeared as Sara Lance, a character believed dead who returns as a costumed vigilante known as The Canary. [14][1514][15] Lotz reprised her character as Lance in the spin-off series Legends of Tomorrow. She would later create her first directorial appearance in the latter episode of the fifth season "Mortal Khanbat".She had the leading role in the science fiction film The Machine, which had its UK release on March 21, 2014 and had its US release on April 25, 2014. [17][18] In May 2014, she reprised her role in the role of Stephanie on the show's seventh season Mad Men. Along with Brandon Routh (Legends of Tomorrow) in 2016, she was Dr. Emily McTier.
