 Scarlett Ingrid Johansson (/dZoU'haens@n/ born November 22nd 1984) is an American actress. She was the highest-paid actress of 2018 and 2019 worldwide. Time magazine named her one the top 100 influential people worldwide in 2021. Her films have earned more than $14.3 billion in the world and made Johansson the top-grossing box office superstar of all time. She has been awarded numerous awards like a Tony Award and a British Academy Film Award as well as addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards.Born to an American father and a Danish father and an American mother, Johansson aspired to be an actor from a young age. She made her debut on stage in an off-Broadway production as a child actor. Her debut film was North (1994) in which was a comedy about fantasy. The actress gained recognition early for her performances in Manny & Lo 1996, The Horse Whisperer 1998, and Ghost World 2001. Johansson shifted to adult roles in 2003 with her performance in Lost in Translation, which won her an award for her performance, a BAFTA Award for Best Actress and Girl with a Pearl Earring. These films were nominated for Golden Globe Awards. She also received nominations for her performances as an unruly teenager and a seductress, and a seductress, respectively, in the drama A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004). It was her first time working in film together with Woody Allen.
